Milltek Sport to support Volkswagen Racing Cup with a new 'Spirit of Racing' award

Performance exhaust manufacturer Milltek Sport is back to support the Volkswagen Racing Cup again in 2008.

The Derby-based company, whose products are used on many of the cars which compete in the championship, including the new Jetta TSI Sport, will back a new 'Spirit of Racing' award at each of the seven meetings with a cash prize of £100 for the competitor or team demonstrating "the right spirit" - on or off the track.

'We are delighted to welcome back Milltek Sport for the fourth year as one of our growing number of championship supporters,' said Melissa Wright of Volkswagen Racing UK, 'and we are particularly pleased that they will be funding the Spirit of Racing prize, because it will reward competitors who are not necessarily at the front of the grid.'

Congratulations to Jamie Perry in the Golf Mk5 GTi 2.0 T FSi who became the first ever Milltek Sport 'Spirit of Racing' winner after the championship's opening rounds at Oulton Park on 24 March.
