First Test of Milltek's Fire-Spitting Nissan GT-R Time Attack Race Car
Milltek made a brief guest appearance in the Time Attack series during 2011 by entering the final event of the season at Snetterton. Even though it was a one-off outing, in the hands of Milltek's (not so) tamed-racing driver, Richard Marshall, the 750bhp bright orange GT-R managed a fantastic second place.
However, this year, things have got a whole lot more serious - the car will be contesting the whole season of events and is:
- now producing around 950bhp(!)
- is packing a host of active and passive aerodynamics
- being managed by a team of dedicated enthusiasts, and as if that wasn't enough
- now sending out the clearest signal of intent to other competitors by being finished in the most lurid shade of Green known to mankind, some say it's actually visible from space
Initial impressions of the car are extremely positive - that it's phenomenally quick is beyond doubt but there's still plenty to do to get the car ready for the start of the season which is at Cadwell Park on the 5th May 2012.
Milltek is a company that's full of petrolheads and there's a real buzz of excitement about the start of the Time Attack season and we can't wait to see what happens and we hope that you'll join us there.
Please note: the photos show the Nissan GT-R with Milltek's noise control tailpipes fitted. These allow the car to run the full 90mm race exhaust system and still run within the strict noise restrictions that were in force at Bedford Aerodrome during testing.
